Senior Back Office Analyst

Geneva Management Group, an award-winning Multi-Family Office and Asset Manager, is looking for a Senior Back Office Analyst to lead our operational team in Port Louis, Mauritius.

Job purpose and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lead and manage the existing Back Office Team, setting up team and individual objectives, allocating tasks and managing deadlines
  • Coach staff and provide regular performance reviews and development plans
  • Dual reporting to the Head of Finance in Mauritius and to the Head of Operations in Geneva
  • Proactively participate in the creation and improvement of operational processes, while ensuring adherence to processes in place
  • Take ownership for client portfolios data maintenance in the systems, reconciliation and reporting
  • Collaborate with external and internal specialists and build an eco-system of professional partners to support service delivery
  • Be the gatekeeper for ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of client reporting

Candidate profile

  • Possesses a Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting, or any equivalent qualifications
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in asset management or fiduciary business, with a strong focus on operations
  • A competent individual with integrity, accountability, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated prior experience of managing teams across multiple business functions
  • Project management skills
  • Analytical, rigorous with attention to detail
  • Good technical knowledge of investment asset classes
  • Technology-savvy, with ability to quickly learn working on new systems
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Excellent soft skills focused on problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making. Ability to promote these skills across a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and rigorous
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with tight deadlines in an ever-evolving environment
  • Fluent in English, Creole and French
  • Must be eligible to work in Mauritius
